Hello! I am Tuggles! I am an Australian Shepherd mixed with a Dalmatian (we think). Before my humans adopted me from SASS, I got hit by a car staying with my foster mom in Tennessee. The vets in Tennessee did a very bad job with my surgery (to fix my spiral fracture in my tibia)so I had to get another surgery done. You will find all my latest updates here.

Update #1:
I am a bit tired and lethargic today... it's the Tramadol. My bandage has slipped a little and it is rubbing. It hurts a bit but the Tramadol helps. I spent some time outside today in the fresh air... and I got some new food! It is very tasty. I finished my entire bowl.
Update #2:
I feel much better today! I got my bandage changed and my leg is healing very nicely! I went up the stairs today... It didn't hurt but my mom made me take it easy anyway. I am now sleeping in my bed upstairs! Its alot more comfy! I still love my new food!
Update #3:
I am going to be under a new antibiotic now.... I'm apparently resisting the Clavamox. I still feel sleepy but my leg feels alot better. My family are still keeping me from running around the house and backyard because my leg looks like Swiss cheese (with all the holes in it). It doesn't hurt much and I want to run around but I know I still have to take it easy. I have started to try and chew the tip of my bandage and it looks all mangled. I don't do it anymore though.
Update #4
My cast came off yesterday!!!!! It feels better to have it off... though it still hurts a bit. I am moving around much better now and I get to eat more ham now (I can now sit for it) :)
Update #5
About six months after the surgery, I am doing great! I am running around like a normal dog! I spend about half my day playing outside and with my family and the other half sleeping on their beds and sofas! I love doing agility, playing fetch, eating treats and doing tricks. My newest accomplishment is swimming! Yesterday my family took me to a little beach at their lake house and I started to get comfy in the water so I can swim this summer!
Update #6
I am about to celebrate my one year mark living with my family!!!!! Yay!!! I am doing so well and guess what? I helped to start a dog rescue called Lucky Tails Animal Rescue! Now I can help all of the homeless doggies like me! Foster and Adopt from Lucky Tails today!!!
